What I am trying to express in my latest collection is a story. The story about Life. Throughout our lives from the moment that we are born until we are grown up and grow old. We experience both happiness and sorrow. For example a child doesn’t only experience fun and happiness all the time. A child will also experience disappointment and sadness, smiles and tears. The disappointment, grief, and tears are not always outwardly expressed in public even tho they are a part of Life, part of growing up. It is this reality of life Joy, sorrow, happiness and disappointment, laughter and tears. The contrasting , opposites of life that go hand in hand as a part of growing up that is the inspiration for my Bitter Sweet Collection Also part of the inspiration came from a movie I watched Alice in Wonderland The story of a girl at the. beginning was met with disappointment and went on a journey to find an end to this sorrow and find happiness. The road was not paved with rose petals and flowers. I used pastels to express the feelings of happiness and joy Beautiful delicate black lace to express the feelings of sorrow and disappointment For this collection I wanted my clothes to come alive I wanted you to be able to see and experience the beauty of each design as they are brought to life . So I came up with an idea to create a fashion film for this collection “Bitter Sweet”.
